CertiPath joins TSCP
Company Commits to Driving Adoption of Secure Information Sharing Standards
VIENNA, Va., July 23, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Transglobal Secure Collaboration Participation, Inc. (TSCP) announced today that CertiPath, a long-time TSCP collaborator, has joined TSCP as a Technology Member. CertiPath has been a leading provider of identity and credential management software solutions for more than 10 years. Serving corporate, defense and government agencies worldwide, the company expects to take its long-established CertiPath Bridge Certification Authority to a wider aerospace and defense (A&D) market. Recognizing the role TSCP plays in developing and deploying secure information sharing solutions in highly sensitive environments, CertiPath is committed to contributing to the integration and adoption of TSCP standards.
"TSCP has a clearly defined strategy for the global implementation of a secure data sharing standard," said Jeff Nigriny, CertiPath CEO. "Being part of TSCP will help CertiPath deliver greater value to the Defense community. As the trust hub for collaboration among the A&D community today, CertiPath already serves the interests of the A&D community. Within this context, participation within TSCP will enable CertiPath to develop new capabilities specifically designed to meet emerging industry challenges, contribute to solutions for secure interoperability, and share lessons learned."
As security threats to critical assets around the world increase and become more sophisticated, the need for a common robust approach to protecting information escalates. Meeting this need is the core mission of TSCP – the Defense consortium dedicated to identifying, prioritizing, developing and testing requirements for all aspects of information sharing – from identity management, secure email, information labeling and handling to document sharing with identity federation.
"We are pleased to welcome CertiPath to TSCP," said Keith Ward, TSCP President and CEO. "We strongly believe that with all parties working together toward a common goal, we can reduce the risk of information security breaches, accelerate secure information sharing across Defense organizations, and reduce overall program costs."
