Maryland House Detox Announces Certificate of Need Approval
LINTHICUM, Md., Jan. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Maryland House Detox and Delphi Behavioral Health Group proudly announce that the Maryland Health Care Commission has approved a Certificate of Need for the first private stand-alone inpatient Detox Center in Maryland.
According to DBHG Director of Operations, David Stup, "Maryland House Detox is the first private stand-alone, inpatient medical detoxification center to open in Maryland. Our Detox will treat adults addicted to various substances including alcohol and heroin. The facility will provide 24-hour medically monitored inpatient detoxification for an average of 5-7 days – after which our team of licensed clinicians will assess individuals and facilitate warm transitions to quality residential and outpatient treatment programs across the state and country. In the midst of the opioid epidemic, we are proud that Maryland House Detox will stand as a beacon of hope to provide on-demand treatment services to the communities of Maryland."
"As we continue to battle substance abuse in Anne Arundel County, this new facility will help us in our fight," said County Executive Steve Schuh. "Expanding treatment options is crucial to helping turn the tide against the heroin and opioid epidemic in our county."
