WASHINGTON, May 5, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CEOs Richard Anderson, of Delta Air Lines, W. Douglas Parker, of American Airlines Group, and Jeff Smisek, of United Airlines, will speak jointly at a National Press Club luncheon on May 15.
The airline CEOs will discuss "Restoring Fair Competition to the Skies." They will argue that subsidies from the governments of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to their domestic airlines are giving them an unfair advantage and threatening U.S. jobs. The three airlines are part of the Partnership for Open & Fair Skies coalition, which also includes airline labor unions.
The airlines are the three largest U.S. air carriers with a combined market capitalization of $93 billion.
The Press Club luncheon will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. Remarks will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets may be purchased here:
The cost of luncheon admission is $23 for National Press Club members and $37 for non-members. Tickets must be purchased at time of reservation.
