Cenzic Wins Silver Stevie® Award Winner In 2013 American Business Awards(SM)
Winners in ABA's Tech & New Product Awards Ceremony Announced in San Francisco
CAMPBELL, Calif., Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cenzic, a leading provider of application security intelligence to reduce security risk, today announced that its mobile application security assessment offering was presented with a Silver Stevie® Award in the Best New Software Security Solution category in The 11th Annual American Business Awards last Monday.
The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the trophies were presented to winners during a gala banquet on Monday, September 16th at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. More than 250 nominees and their guests attended.
This year's American Business Awards were presented at two awards events. Awards for marketing, customer service, human resources, and other disciplines were announced in Chicago in June. Monday's event focused on the technology and new product awards categories.
The Cenzic Mobile service, released in March 2012, scans and analyzes mobile applications and detects vulnerabilities in critical areas, including input validation authentication mechanisms, session security, encryption usage and policy compliance. Many mobile applications are vulnerable to attacks since they connect to databases on the backend. Cenzic's mobile service gives insight across all mobile applications and backend services, providing recommendations on how to reduce risks originating from specific applications, application developers, and businesses. Because of its cloud-based delivery method, Cenzic is the only company in the market that can provide complete remote black box testing for mobile applications without requiring source code or binaries.
"The explosion of mobile applications poses a new set of challenges for enterprises, blurring the attack perimeter for the organization. Cenzic's mobile application security assessment ensures that enterprise mobile apps are continuously secured through all stages of the software development lifecycle," said Bala Venkat, CMO of Cenzic. "We are honored that Cenzic Mobile has been awarded the Silver Stevie Award this year. It's a major milestone for our company, further validating our innovation and industry impact."
Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 320 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.
"So many remarkable stories of success and innovation were told in the nominations submitted to this year's American Business Awards," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. "We congratulate all of this year's Stevie Award winners, and thank them for the inspiration provided by their achievements."
