CenturyLink opens retail store for residential and small business customers in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) has opened a new retail store at 4212 Halsey St. in the Hollywood neighborhood of Portland. Residents and small business owners can test drive new products and services now available to area customers, including broadband speeds up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps), CenturyLink Cloud and CenturyLink's interactive TV service, Prism^® TV. 

The store is designed to enhance the customer experience by providing the opportunity to trial CenturyLink products for homes and businesses. Customers can sit on a couch, grab a remote and experience the many features included in the Prism^® TV experience. They can also move around the store to learn about broadband offerings with speeds up to 1 Gbps, home automation features and security services through CenturyLink^® Smart Home, and wireless phone bundling options through Verizon Wireless.

"With the significant deployment of our new products and services in the Portland metro area, we're helping Portland CenturyLink customers discover the home and business benefits of Prism TV and 1 gig broadband speeds," said Darrion Bowers, CenturyLink's vice president of operations for Oregon. "Now, customers and business owners can visit our state-of-the-art store on Halsey Street and see for themselves how CenturyLink Prism TV is different from cable and satellite. They can also demo 1 gig service and speak in-person with a representative about their bill and service options."

The store also comes equipped with a newly-designed small business consultation desk that allows business owners and decision makers to meet face-to-face with a representative who can evaluate their needs, make business recommendations and explain more about CenturyLink Cloud, an all-in-one cloud platform, and the various security features that come with CenturyLink business bundles. 

Customers are encouraged to stop by during store hours to learn more about the products and services offered and to receive a free in-person account review. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

CenturyLink will host a grand opening celebration at the new store from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13.
