Centrify Europe Expands to Address Growing Demand for Active Directory-Based Controls Over System Access, Privilege Management and Auditing
New Office in Germany Joins Centrify UK Office and Growing Partner Network to Fuel Record Revenue Growth for Centrify in EMEA
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Centrify Corporation, the leading provider of security and compliance solutions that centrally control, secure and audit access to cross-platform systems and applications using Active Directory, today announced that its EMEA business is growing at a record pace, fueled by a local office in UK and a new office recently opened in Germany, and a growing international partner network. Centrify posted more than 100-percent revenue growth in FY2011 over the prior year, a record for its EMEA business.
"We are selling to EMEA customers in all sectors, but specifically to organizations struggling to meet regulatory compliance requirements such as banking and financial services, telecommunications, and pharmaceuticals, which have all been particularly strong areas for us," said Darren Gross, EMEA Regional Director. "These organizations are under increased scrutiny around system access, privilege management and auditing of UNIX, Mac and Linux systems. The Information, Security and Risk, Audit and Security teams for these organizations often have to deal with a common set of audit requirements driven by both external compliance regulations, as well as internal governance requirements. Leveraging the Centrify Suite, they are able to successfully address these compliance requirements for on-premise systems as well as those in the cloud."
According to Gross, Centrify is seeing significant growth addressing EMEA customers' security, systems management and audit and compliance needs, especially when it comes to Payment Card Information – Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) in the retail, banking and finance sectors; and
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) for US-based companies with operations overseas. In addition, Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 70, an auditing standard enabling independent auditors to evaluate and issue an opinion on a service organization's controls, is a new regulation where EMEA organizations are turning to Centrify to ensure they have appropriate system access controls and privilege management processes in place to meet compliance.
Centrify will use funding announced this summer to further grow the EMEA operations and broaden its EMEA channel partnerships and reach internationally.
"We are seeing an increased demand for our solutions in EMEA and we are looking to work with a select number of partners," said Gross. "Centrify is a partner centric organization with channel programs in place that reward our partners. We have created a partner eco-system to further enhance our local support and services offerings to provide our customers with local, in-country, same language sales and technical assistance. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a select number of partners to engage with the leading vendor in a rapidly growing market."
Centrify's UK office is located in Bracknell and is run by Gross, who was recently promoted to EMEA Regional Director and responsible for overseeing operations across EMEA. Gross is a 10-year veteran of software sales via the UK channel while at Legato and the EMC Software Group. Torsten Wiedemeyer heads the new Centrify Germany office in Munich, and brings 10 years of security and infrastructure sales and business development experience from Sophos, McAfee, Criston and Lumension.
