Centrify Enlists Gary Taggart as Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Accomplished sales leader joins Centrify to accelerate sales and expand channel initiatives
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Centrify Corporation, the leader in securing and auditing access to cross-platform systems and applications through Active Directory, today announced the appointment of Gary Taggart as vice president of worldwide sales, where he will lead all of Centrify's direct and channel sales efforts as well as Centrify's professional services team. Taggart brings over 25 years of senior level sales experience and a proven record of increasing sales revenue and growing channel contribution to his new position.
"Centrify has been growing rapidly and we have been looking to expand our executive team to help us manage this growth and take it to the next level," said Tom Kemp, CEO at Centrify. "We are pleased to have someone like Gary join us who has a great track record of leading sales organizations in the security market."
This appointment and expansion of the management team follows a record quarter for revenue (see related release: "Centrify Announces Record Revenue and Profit in Latest Quarter") during which Centrify increased its lead in installed customer base and delivered Centrify Express, a free solution that integrates UNIX, Linux and Mac systems with Active Directory. Centrify Express has quickly become the No. 1 choice of IT professionals for Active Directory-based authentication and single sign-on to cross-platform systems. In addition, Centrify now has more than 2500 enterprise customers worldwide representing all verticals.
"Centrify is leading the market because customers value its differentiated approach to securing and auditing cross-platform environments," said Taggart. "I am excited to join the world-class team at Centrify and look forward to helping accelerate its growth and expand its channel strategy."
Taggart comes to Centrify from GuardianEdge, a leader in end-point data protection solutions, where he held the position of senior vice president of worldwide sales. At GuardianEdge, Taggart increased bookings by 50%, met or exceeded each quarterly financial goal, and revitalized their partner program. Prior to GuardianEdge, which was acquired by Symantec in June of 2010, Taggart worked for Reconnex Corp, a leading manufacturer of data loss prevention solutions. As vice president of worldwide sales and support through Reconnex's acquisition by McAfee, he delivered nine quarters of revenue growth, and raised customer satisfaction which resulted in more new accounts than in any prior period. Taggart was also vice president of worldwide sales at security vendors CyberGuard and Secure Computing. He holds both a BA and MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
