Centria Autism And Driver Armani Williams Team Up For 2020 Racing Season
Williams, 19, is aiming to set the pace as first known NASCAR driver with autism
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., March 4, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Centria Autism, a leading national provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism, and Team Armani Racing have announced they are teaming up for the 2020 NASCAR racing season. Centria Autism will be a primary sponsor of Team Armani, supporting 19-year-old driver Armani Williams as he races to promote autism awareness and hope for achieving dreams, no matter how challenging they may seem. Detroit-based Williams is the first openly-diagnosed Autistic driver in NASCAR.
This is the first year Centria has backed Team Armani, and it's a symbiotic partnership with a mutual desire to promote autism awareness and milestones that can be achieved when autistic kids receive support and tools at a young age. Williams was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder when he was two years old and considered non-verbal. After years of sustained support from his parents and others, learning to overcome challenges with daily tasks, communication and various stimuli, he began racing go-karts at age eight. Many years later, with 18 wins and two championships under his belt, Williams is inspiring kids of all ages and abilities to pursue their dreams.
"Partnering with Team Armani is a very special opportunity for Centria Autism. We are proud to be able to support Armani, an inspirational young man proving that with hard work and resilience it's possible to reach your dreams," said Dave Spencer, chief marketing officer for Centria Autism.
"We are thrilled to partner with Centria Autism. Providing hope and seeking better life outcomes for individuals and families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder has always been an important part of what we do at Team Armani Racing. Advancing these goals through motorsports, Centria Autism, and Armani Williams is a fantastic step in the right direction," said Del Williams, father of Armani Williams.
Centria Autism will be sponsoring Team Armani Williams in the upcoming NASCAR FanShield 500 Race Weekend. Williams will compete in the ARCA Menards General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway on Friday, March 6, at 7:00 PM Eastern Time, airing live on FS1. Fans can follow Armani all season long on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and his website.
