MacDonald has owned Central Self Storage since 1988. The business has been in serving the community since 1975.

MacDonald said his partnership with U-Haul has helped to secure current customers and attract new clientele despite the presence of other self-storage units opening in and around Bible Hill.

Many years ago during a visit to the U.S., MacDonald said his parents noticed how popular storage units had become and that's when his family decided to invest in their own self-storage business. Prior to Central Self Storage, the family was involved in equipment rental for parties and other events dating back to the 1950s.

Although MacDonald has been offering U-Haul products for a short time, he has seen increased traffic flow at his facility. The road signage and U-Haul truck have served as fresh promotion for Central Self Storage.
