Central Illinois farmland set for November auction
RANTOUL, Ill., Nov. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Five central Illinois farms totaling 673 acres will be offered at auction Monday, Nov. 17, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company managing the event.
The land, located in Ford, Iroquois and Vermilion counties, will be offered in seven tracts, ranging in size from 65 to 203 acres.
"These are good, productive farms with quality soils, more than 96 percent tillable taken as a whole, so they will provide an excellent opportunity either for operators or for investors," said R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company.
The 203-acre farm, with 196 tillable acres, is located on CR 2900 North in Vermilion County. It will sell as a single tract. Other tracts include:
- 78 acres, all tillable, fronting on CR 800 North in Ford County.
- Adjacent tracts of 90 acres and 65 acres, mostly tillable, along CR 1850 East and C 1900 East in Iroquois County.
- Two adjacent tracts of 94 acres and 75 acres, mostly tillable, with frontage on CR 1300 East and CR 400 North in Iroquois County.
- A 68-acre tract with approximately 60 tillable acres, with frontage on CR 300 North in Iroquois County.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Linden Banquet Center, 224 West Wheat Avenue, in Rantoul, Illinois. Online bidding will be available by prior arrangement.
