DENVER, July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division (CFLHD), has selected CH2M to provide full service design, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract architect-engineer services in support of delivery of the Federal Lands Highway Program.
The CFLHD delivers transportation projects, performs planning, and completes road inventory services on Federal access roads, parkways and park roads, Indian reservation roads, defense access roads and other Federal lands roads. Supporting this mission since 1992, CH2M has consistently provided the CFLHD with high-quality, cost-effective services, continually meeting fast-track project objectives in the 14-state area.
With this selection, the company is working on its sixth General Engineering IDIQ contract. The majority of the nearly 300 task orders delivered under these previous contracts have been for projects on rural, low-volume, two-lane highways in environmentally sensitive areas. Notable examples include the Lake Tahoe Program of Projects (Truckee River Bridge, Meeks Bay, State Route 28) in California and Nevada; the Hawaii Program of Bridges, Oahu, Kauai, Big Island, Hawaii; Navajo Lake Road Project Scoping and Project Delivery, Dixie National Forest, Utah; Deerlodge Road, Dinosaur National Park, Moffat County, Colorado and Uintah County, Utah; Reds Meadow Road Planning and Environmental Linkage Study, Mammoth Lakes, California; LaRiviere Marsh Bridge and Marshlands Road, Alameda County, California; and the Tonto National Forest Bridges Design-Build, Apache Junction, Arizona.
"Over the past 24 years, our multidisciplinary team has refined and developed its skills, working side by side as peers with CFLHD staff to create a strong understanding of their goals and objectives," said CH2M Program Manager Bill Lang. "Our continued collaboration will enable CFLHD to confidently advance the mission of providing safe, sustainable infrastructure for the public's use and preserving America's treasured lands and sensitive resources."
