CenterPointe Hospital Selects Prescient Medicine as Preferred Laboratory

HUMMELSTOWN, Pa., March 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Prescient Medicine today announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with CenterPointe Hospital, a prominent psychiatric and addiction recovery hospital in St. Charles, Mo., to provide on-site management of its laboratory and four of its outpatient locations.

As part of the agreement, Prescient Medicine will manage laboratory services, including on-site phlebotomists and other staff, for CenterPointe Hospital and serve as CenterPointe Hospital's preferred laboratory provider. Prescient Medicine offers precision medicine testing services, which are particularly helpful in addiction and behavioral medicine specialties.

Precision medicine is a new category of medicine that matches unique medical needs to a patient's genetic profile. Prescient Medicine's advanced genetic testing services can help reduce the risk of addiction and potential overdose in patients who require pain medication or other drugs during addiction recovery.
