Centerplate Serves as Hospitality Host to the 2011 World Police & Fire Games
NEW YORK, Aug. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the leading hospitality provider to North America's premier convention centers, is serving as hospitality host for the 2011 World Police and Fire Games Expo at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City August 26th to September 5th. This event is the world's largest multi-sport, Olympic-style police and fire event with thousands of full-time firefighters and law enforcement personnel from 70 countries competing in 65 sports. Centerplate has been preparing for the event for several months and anticipates serving over 20,000 participants and fans.
For this special event, Centerplate has created tailored menus for the general attendees and associated private events alike. The Javits Convention Center will host the opening ceremonies reception, athlete's village, the medal ceremonies and many indoor sporting events including: boxing, dodgeball, judo, indoor rowing, indoor soccer, taekwondo, table tennis, indoor volleyball, wrestling and wrist wrestling. The 2011 World Police & Fire Games will respectfully coincide with the 10-year remembrance of September 11th, 2001.
