Centerplate Reveals Menu for San Diego's Poinsettia Bowl
Local Flavors, San Diego Favorites for Over 30,000 Fans
SAN DIEGO, Dec. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the largest hospitality partner to North America's premier sports stadiums, convention centers and entertainment venues, announced today, its exclusive menu of local flavors and San Diego favorites for the seventh annual San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl.
True to San Diego's renowned reputation for hospitality, Centerplate is planning on treating over 30,000 TCU Horned Frogs and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs fans to a taste of Southern California staples, from jalapenos to hot dogs. Fans may come for the game, or maybe the warm San Diego temperatures. But the plan is, they'll remember, and be delighted by, Centerplate's hospitality. Menu to include:
Fish Tacos- Breaded fish in corn tortillas topped with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, white sauce and a lime wedge, served with tortilla chips and salsa.
Diego Cheesesteak- Our original San Diego take on the traditional Cheese Steak, thin sliced rib eye grilled with julienne peppers, onions and sliced jalapenos piled on a jalapeno butter-brushed fresh hoagie roll topped with melted pepper jack cheese.
San Diego Custom Frank- A Jumbo Frank on a top cut custom roll and topped with chili, onion-mustard bacon sauce, pico de gallo and red pepper jalapeno sauce
Backyard Burger- A flame grilled custom grind burger topped with pepper jack cheese, fried onion rings and red jalapeno and chipotle pepper sauce.
Wings Around the World- Hand shaken and prepared to order with an extensive assortment of sauces, including Traditional Buffalo, Golden Barbecue, Sweet Red Chili, Cajun and Sweet Teriyaki
Apart from food, Centerplate will also offer the TCU and Louisiana Tech faithful an array of merchandise at the game, including apparel from t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats to team-specific items including scarves.

This season, Centerplate will host 11 college bowl games including the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Discover Orange Bowl in Miami, Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl in Nashville, and the Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman in Washington D.C. Throughout the year, Centerplate partners with 10 NFL clubs and 24 collegiate programs.
