Centerplate Hosts Local Schools At Houston Rockets Training Camp
PROVIDES LUNCH FOR 500 AT MCALLEN CONVENTION CENTER
MCALLEN, Texas, Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, along with the NBA Development League, Rio Grande Valley Vipers will welcome 500 school children from the STC Jaguar Club and Grulla Middle School to participate in the Houston Rockets Rio Grande Valley Training Camp on Oct. 2 and 4.
As a part of Centerplate's commitment to the Rio Grande Valley community, they will partner with the Vipers to invite two local schools to the Houston Rockets NBA training camp at the McAllen Convention Center. Following the Rockets morning practice, Centerplate will provide lunch for the students. The children will have the opportunity to meet with Rockets players to discuss the importance of hard work, healthy eating, goal setting and the upcoming basketball season.

The Houston Rockets RGV Training Camp is a part of Rocket Launch 2012. In addition to training camp, the Rockets will also be making several appearances throughout the RGV community. Rocket Launch will conclude with a NBA preseason matchup between the Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder, presented by State Farm, on October 10.
