Centerplate Honored at Mayor's Business Recognition Awards
Company to Host Recipients and Honorees at Annual Luncheon at the Baltimore Convention Center
BALTIMORE, Dec. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate is being honored by Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake at the 39th annual Mayor's Business Recognition Awards luncheon on December 10 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Centerplate will be providing the hospitality at the luncheon, during which Mayor Rawlings-Blake will honor 12 businesses for the service in the community.
The awards recognize businesses for outstanding commitment to community and dedication to improving the quality of life in Baltimore City. The annual awards event the Greater Baltimore Committee profiles the community work of the firms being honored and their employees.
Centerplate recently launched a national program, The Centerplate Promise, as part of the company's core commitment to support and improve the communities in which Centerplate staff live and work. Building on the success of Centerplate's "Journey Home" initiative, which raised over $300,000 to fight homelessness in Baltimore, The Centerplate Promise will leverage Centerplate's national portfolio of over 250 venues to combat child homelessness nationwide.
