Centerplate Extends Hospitality Relationship with Orange County Convention Center
ORLANDO, Fla., May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the hospitality partner to North America's leading, convention centers, announced today it has been awarded a contract renewal with the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). The OCCC, located in the heart of Central Florida's tourism district, is one of the nation's busiest convention centers annually welcoming over 1.4 million guests. But it's more than just big, Business Review USA recently named the OCCC convention center number one on its list of top 10 convention centers in the county.

Working in partnership with the Orange County Convention Center, Centerplate's team has also undertaken a number of significant new guest experience enhancement projects including the implementation of new retail menu concepts, the renovation of major kitchen facilities to increase efficiency and a series of exciting new catering menu selections. Keeping pace with the OCCC's commitment to be an eco-friendly facility, Centerplate is also currently installing equipment to reduce waste that would otherwise be destined for a landfill.
