Centerplate Brings Texan Flavors to the NFL Experience
STAMFORD, Conn., Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the largest hospitality partner to North America's premier sports stadiums, convention centers and entertainment venues plays hospitality host this week for the NFL Experience. January 27th through February 6th, fans will have the opportunity to visit the Dallas Convention Center to experience an NFL interactive theme park offering participatory games, displays, entertainment attractions, and snacks and meals custom-designed by Centerplate for the event. The NFL Experience is expected to attract over 200,000 guests over its nine-day run.
Centerplate is certainly no stranger to the NFL or world-class events. This Super Bowl marks the thirteenth in which Centerplate has been involved and the company is honored to serve as hospitality partner to ten NFL clubs. Additionally, Centerplate has also been proud to serve 10 Pro Bowls, 20 World Series, the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and 15 official U.S. Presidential Inaugural Balls.
Led by Executive Chef David P. Skorka, Centerplate's culinary team has crafted a number of new menus specifically for the event with an emphasis on Texas flavors and ingredients. Some of the notable offerings include:
- The NFLX Superdog
An all beef hot dog topped with smoked pulled pork, pepper jack cheese, peach habanero BBQ sauce and cucumber lime relish all rolled in a chipotle tortilla
- End Zone Wings
Prepared to order with an extensive assortment of 15 sauces, including blazing hot, sweet Thai chili, basil pesto, bourbon, peach habanero BBQ and lemon salt & pepper
- Smoked Texas Barbecue
Featuring authentic, Texas-smoke Brisket, Jalapeno Sausage, Turkey Breast and Pulled Pork Sandwiches on cheddar Jalapeno Rolls

Centerplate will also be preparing and donating a healthy luncheon to 1,200 children participating in the NFL Kids Day on February 2nd. There will also be a "healthy zone" throughout the week where children can order a variety of healthier, kid-friendly menu items.
Centerplate will be serving as hospitality host to the next two Super Bowls, Super Bowl XLVI and Super Bowl XLVII, in Indianapolis and New Orleans respectively. In other company news, this most recent year has proven to be one of the company's strongest ever in new business development and client retention in its eighty-year history.
