Centerplate Brings New Flavors and Enhancements to Detroit Tigers Spring Training

STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the largest hospitality partner to North America's premier sports stadiums, convention centers and entertainment venues, announced today a series of new menu concepts and service enhancements to help celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Tigertown Spring Training home of the Detroit Tigers at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida.

Notable new Spring Training menu items designed specifically for Tiger fans to bring the flavors of Detroit and Florida together include:  

• Bratwurst – Served on a warm Pretzel Hot Dog bun and topped with warm sauerkraut

• Flint style Coney Island Hot Dogs – Chili Dog from Flint, Michigan

• Alligator Bites – Lightly breaded fried alligator tail served with a spicy "Boom Boom Sauce"

• Cuban – Traditional pressed Cuban with spiced pork, ham and salami with Swiss cheese, pickle chips and yellow mustard

To complement its culinary introductions, the company has also initiated a series of enhancements to its service training and experience assurance initiatives. Centerplate's training program, which has been completely revamped and re-launched as Centerplate University, is based on a series of training sessions that provides our service team the foundation to succeed.
