Centerplate Brings A Taste Of The Rockies To Broncos' Home Turf
Fans to Enjoy Mountain Village Hospitality Area, Mile High Legends Grill, Centerplate Promise
DENVER, Sept. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Rocky Mountains just got a little bit closer to Sports Authority Field at Mile High, as the Denver Broncos unveiled the brand new Mountain Village area for fans. Rebuilt and re-designed by the Broncos to reflect the rustic charm of Colorado's famous ski-towns and resort communities, the Mountain Village will anchor the north end of Sports Authority Field and feature all early NFL game programming, food & drinks specials, promotional activities and autographs from alumni and cheerleaders. Centerplate, the event hospitality partner to the Denver Broncos, has introduced five separate hospitality concepts within the Mountain Village, each with their own authentic Colorado twist.
For the first time, tailgaters at Sports Authority Field at Mile High will be able to enter the stadium early to enjoy the food and beverage selections at the Mountain Village including:
- Alpine Dogs: Premium hot dogs from Denver's legendary Continental Sausage Company, on fresh baked rolls, including the Black Diamond Dog with Colorado craft ale sauerkraut.
- Sausage Haus: Beer & Buffalo brats served with Colorado craft ale sauerkraut.
- Base Camp Smoke House: House cured smoked pork loin sandwiches with Swiss cheese, horseradish mustard and pickles or the smoked hot link with spicy bbq sauce on a fresh baked roll.
- Lodge Chili: Featuring Bronco legend Mark Schlereth's Stinkin' Good Green Chili, sirloin steak red chili and vegetarian white bean chili
- Front Range Grilled Pizza: Hand tossed artisan flat breads made on-site and then grilled for an authentic Colorado touch...toppings include Black Forest ham and Swiss, Pepperoni or Muenster cheese.
"Colorado is a special place, and Sports Authority Field at Mile High is an iconic, one-of-a-kind stadium, so our goal was simple, to offer guests hospitality options that truly captured the spirit of Mile High," said Centerplate General Manager Justin Kizima. "The Mountain Village and the Mile High Legends' Grille are great examples of Centerplate's commitment to incorporating local flavors, and local purveyors to create a world-class experience for fans."
Over the years, the Broncos have produced more than their share of legends, both on the field, and in the kitchen. In 2012-2013, Centerplate is thrilled to debut the Mile High Legends Grille, for the first time uniting the culinary products of Broncos greats into one legendary hospitality offering. Mile High Legends Grille will feature:
- Mark Schlereth's Stinkin' Good Green Chili Cheese Fries
- Terrell Davis' "Mile High Salute" BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches
- Karl Mecklenburg – The "Mecklenburger": A ferocious defender against hunger
- Ed McCaffery's Rocky Mountain Condiments including spicy brown and creamy Dijon mustards as well as horseradish sauce.
Broncos fans will also enjoy Centerplate's new fan appreciation program, the "Victory Select" menu, featuring fan-friendly stadium favorites at fan-friendly value pricing. Such offerings include Bottomless Popcorn; now available throughout the stadium making it easier then ever to find these fan-friendly items. Fans can learn more about the menu items on large graphical menu boards installed this season to showcase Victory Select.
