Centerplate Announces Partnership with BiBiFresh at Javits Center
Innovative and Fresh Korean Concept to Debut at ENK Show
NEW YORK, Sept. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, America's leading Event Hospitality partner, is teaming up with Marja Vongerichten to introduce an exciting, new Korean concept, BiBiFresh, to guests, clients and fashionistas at New York City's Javits Center. Building on the growing national trend of fresh, healthy and innovative dining options, BiBiFresh will offer Javits guests a traditional Korean dish called BiBimBap, literally meaning "mixed meal" or "mixed rice." The BiBiFresh concept will debut starting September 19th for the annual fashion trade show, ENK Show - Fashion Coterie.
Marja Vongerichten, host of the popular PBS series "The Kimchi Chronicles" based her latest Korean brand BiBiFresh, on the idea of "Seoul Food From the Soul." Working with co-founder and President John-Paul Lee, BiBiFresh stands for traditional, yet approachable Korean dishes featured in the freshest, healthiest, and most casual format.
At the Javits Center, BiBimBap will contain warm rice, namul (sauteed or steamed vegetables), gochujang (chili pepper paste), and an addition of scrumptious marinated proteins (beef, pork, chicken, tofu, salmon/shrimp), topped with a fried egg. The bowl is then stirred to combine all of the bold flavors.
"We are excited to be partnering with Marja Vongerichten at the Javits Convention Center," said John Erickson, Centerplate's executive at the Javits Convention Center. "Centerplate always looks for innovative ways to bring new flavors and experiences to our guests."
Centerplate is looking forward to furthering our partnership with BiBiFresh after the initial concept launch at the ENK Show.
