What: The U.S. Census Bureau is participating in Manufacturing Day with Workshops for Warriors, a San Diego-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free job training and certification to veterans. Manufacturing Day has been designed to expand knowledge about and improve general public perception of manufacturing careers and manufacturing's value to the U.S. economy. Facility tours and presentations will begin immediately following the opening ceremony. The Census Bureau measures the nation's manufacturing sector through its economic indicators, manufacturing surveys, the upcoming 2012 Economic Census and other statistics.
