Censeo Consulting Group Adds Four New Strategic Hires to Expand Firm's Expertise and Drive Growth
WASHINGTON, April 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Censeo Consulting Group, a leader in operations and supply chain consulting, announced four new hires to grow the company's breadth and depth of expertise, advance its strategic initiatives and continue to build a strong infrastructure to ensure long-term growth.

Joining Censeo Consulting Group are Kareem El-Alaily, Mark Klupt, Steve Krauss, and Barbara Meachin. Kareem El-Alaily and Mark Klupt both join Censeo as Principals, bringing strong backgrounds and expertise in restructuring of operations to achieve efficiencies. They will both focus on building Censeo's capabilities in operational excellence and cost reduction practices areas.
Steve Krauss joins Censeo as Corporate Development Officer to spearhead the company's business development efforts within the public sector as well as to further Censeo's capabilities in strategic IT management. Barbara Meachin joins the firm as Director of Professional Development. Ms. Meachin's role further reinforces Censeo's commitment to bringing the best talent to its clients by investing in professional development.
In addition to the new hires, Dr. Timothy Laseter will transition from his role as the acting COO to leading Censeo's commercial practice. He will help expand Censeo's commercial footprint as well as help its existing commercial clients drive operational and supply chain efficiencies.

Kareem El-Alaily comes to Censeo from AlixPartners, where he specialized in operational performance improvement, cost reduction, and corporate turnaround in a variety of industries, helping both healthy and distressed companies improve profitability. Prior to AlixPartners, he worked as a strategy and technology consultant at Booz & Company. Mr. El-Alaily holds an M.B.A. from Duke University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Virginia.
Mark Klupt previously worked at Boston Consulting Group where his areas of expertise were strategic sourcing, corporate strategy, and strategic growth and corporate development. He is also a member of the Maryland and Washington D.C. bars and has practiced corporate law at Vinson & Elkins, LLP and Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman, LLP. Mr. Klupt has a law degree from University of Virginia and an M.S. degree in Public Management and Policy from Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University.
Steve Krauss is a recognized leader in the federal IT market. He received "Government Channel Leaders" awards in 2005, a "Rising Star" award in 2006, and was named an "Emerging Leader" by the International Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) in 2007. He recently has been named the recipient of the Fed 100 award for his contributions to the federal IT sector. Mr. Krauss comes to Censeo from Pragmatics, where he served as Director of Corporate Development. Krauss holds an M.S. in Engineering Economic Systems and a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from Stanford University.
Dr. Tim Laseter brings more than 20 years of consulting and research experience, which has shaped his modern and pragmatic view of supply chain management and operations. Formerly a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, he is the author of Balanced Sourcing: Cooperation & Competition in Supplier Relationships (1998). Dr. Laseter is also co-author, with Ron Kerber, of Strategic Product Development (2007). He holds an M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the Darden School of Business and a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Barbara Meachin has worked in communications roles for management consultants in New York, Tokyo and London, notably as an editor at McKinsey and a Director of Client Communications for A.T. Kearney in New York. Throughout her career, she trained consultants around the globe and coached both consultants and clients to improve their communication skills. Ms. Meachin has B.A. in History from Vanderbilt University.
