Cengage Learning's Questia Expands Library of Resources with the Addition of CliffsNotes Study Guides
More than 275 study guides, representing commonly studied literary works, now available to Questia subscribers
CHICAGO, March 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Questia, part of Cengage Learning, today announced the addition of content from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's CliffsNotes to its vast online collection of copyrighted scholarly books, academic journals and research periodicals. This integration provides more extensive research options for college students, adding to the already expansive Questia digital library of resources. CliffsNotes provide students with a supplementary way to understand commonly studied literary works, authors and topics. The integration will start with 275 guides, and progressively expand to more than 300 in the coming months.
Complementing the Questia library of 83,000 books and 10 million articles, CliffsNotes study guides are written by real teachers and professors, providing authenticity and a basic understanding of often complex works of literature. In addition to printed study guides, CliffsNotes also provide students with guides for test prep, mobile access using iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, and free online articles focusing on writing, grammar, foreign languages, math, sciences, accounting, government, and history.
"We are extremely excited to be adding CliffsNotes to Questia," said Nancy Buchanan, senior content manager, Cengage Learning. "They are excellent study aids that will complement the rich primary and secondary literature resources within Questia's library. Students can use Questia to read works of literature, supplement their understanding of the literature using the CliffsNotes, and conduct in-depth research for papers, all in one place."
CliffsNotes have been added to Questia's suite of online tools which include research resources and tutorials. A new writing center includes a 9-step writing guide, and provides the tools necessary to help students choose a topic, build an outline and craft a thesis.
Questia subscribers can access the CliffsNotes resources via the Library section of Questia's homepage located at www.questia.com.
