Cengage Learning Celebrates Outstanding Commitment to Economics Education with 2013 Best in Class Teaching Awards

Instructors submitted their best ideas for teaching and peers voted on their favorites. A panel of Economist Educators reviewed the submissions and rated those receiving the most votes. This year, winning entries focused on engaging students through game/role playing and tweeting. Entry: Using Twitter to Sharpen Critical Thinking and Writing Skills
Prize: $1,000 cash, $500 cash for the second-place winner's department of economics and a trip to our 9th Annual Economics Teaching Conference
Third Place – Jadrian Wooten, Washington State University
Entry: Ping Pong Ball Factory Manager
Prize: $500 cash and a copy of the new International Handbook of Learning and Teaching Economics
