Celebrity Comedian ANT Will Serve as Honorary Chair of AIDS Walk Orange County
Motivational message planned for opening program
IRVINE, Calif., May 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Whether you know him from appearances on Jay Leno and the Tonight Show, seen him judging hopeful comedians on the Last Comic Standing, or hosting VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, you may be seeing a different side of comedian Anthony Steven Kalloniatus –better known as ANT – at AIDS Walk Orange County taking place tomorrow, May 22 at the Great Park in Irvine.
As honorary chairman of the event, ANT will help kick off the 24th annual AIDS Walk Orange County during the event's opening program at 8:00 a.m.
ANT promises a motivational message, with a dash of humor, to spur on the approximately 5,000 Orange Countians that will be participating in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
A $650,000 goal is this year's target. Proceeds will be shared among nine Orange County nonprofit agencies providing vital services such as food, housing, transportation, and medical and mental health care to people living with HIV/AIDS in Orange County. The event is organized by AIDS Services Foundation Orange County (ASF), also one of the recipient agencies.
More than $13 million has been raised through AIDS Walk Orange County since its inception in 1986.
