Celebrities Ignite October High Point Market

In conjunction with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the first keynote session kicks off Market's popular Design Viewpoints Series (DVS) on Oct. 14. Paula Wallace, fearless visionary and esteemed president and founder of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), will share the history behind SCAD's award-winning built environment, impressive preservation efforts and school-led design projects undertaken across the globe.

Also set for opening day of Fall Market, HGTV celebrities and charismatic twins Jonathan and Drew Scott will take the stage to discuss their passion for the details that add up to building a global brand. TV personalities, NY Times best-selling authors and serial entrepreneurs, the Scott Brothers will recount their trajectory, from the launch of their first business at the age of 7 to the creation of five top-rated television shows and the pair's massive Scott Living home goods brand, which is the event sponsor.

The final session in the series, on Oct. 15, features design-royalty heirs and globally-recognized personalities Ashley and India Hicks. Presenting together for the first time, the siblings will share memories of growing up with their father, legendary interior designer David Hicks, recounting how the experience has served their own, unique design paths.

Finally, at the industry's annual American Home Furnishings (AHF) Hall of Fame event, set for Sun., Oct. 15, retired General Colin Powell will deliver the evening's keynote address on the subject of leadership.
