Celebrate The Roaring 20's At The Pittsburgh Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, October 30, 2015, the ninth annual Pittsburgh Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival rolls back in to town at Rivers Casino. Over 1,500 guests are invited to showcase their Charleston moves, wear their flapper best, and practice their "old sport" at the 1920's themed event.
For the first time, two exceptional Japanese whiskies will be present for sampling. Yamazaki, Japan's premier single malt whiskey, is matured in Mizunara (Japanese oak) casks to give it a unique aroma. Hibiki is Japan's most highly awarded blended whiskey, and among the most honored whiskies in the world. Both whiskies will be introduced for the first time at the festival by Brand Ambassador Mike Miyamoto.
Notable individuals such as Fred Booker Noe, master distiller and great grandson of Jim Beam, and Spencer Warren, Butcher and the Rye Bartender and Tales of the Cocktail 2015 national winner, will be on hand to answer questions and speak with attendees. Additionally, Captain Morgan will host a "Captain's Cannon Blast Lounge" at the event.
Dale Markham, Executive Director for the festival, feels the event has so much to offer new and repeat attendees alike. "The past few years, we've really refined the offering to include only the best," he says. "We've invited back brands that attendees love, and included new brands based on interest, individuality, and demand."
Festival tickets went on sale Monday, 9/7, and nearly one third of available tickets were gone in 24 hours.
Tickets can be purchased online for a limited time at PittsburghWhiskeyFestival.com for $102.
The 2015 Pittsburgh Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival is produced by the Pittsburgh Wine Festival LLC, and sponsored by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
