Celebrate July Fourth With Food, Music, Fireworks at the Bush Library and Museum
COLLEGE STATION, Texas, June 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum is proud to host the College Station Noon Lions Club's Fourth of July "I Love America" Celebration July 4, 2014 at the George Bush Presidential Library Center at Texas A&M University.
The College Station Noon Lions Club has organized the event for more than 50 years growing from humble beginnings to now one of the largest July Fourth Celebrations in the Brazos Valley. The event has been at the Bush Library and Museum for more than 15 years.
"The I Love America Celebration is the Brazos Valley's opportunity to come together at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum to celebrate our freedom, military and veterans. The College Station Noon Lions Club is honored to work with the library to bring the community together for food, games for the kids, live music and fireworks," said Caleb W. Holt, President of College Station Noon Lions Club.
The museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. with free admission for everyone all day; building closes at 8:30 p.m. Concessions and games for children begin at 5 p.m., and live music entertainment by Katye Hamlin, The Greg Tivis Jazz Band, and Bret Graham. The evening will culminate with a performance by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, presented by H-E-B, Wells Fargo and Union Pacific. Free parking is available to the public at Reed Arena and the West Campus Parking Garage on the Texas A&M University campus. Shuttles will begin running at 4:30 p.m. from West Campus Garage and Lots 100 and 97 to the museum. Handicapped parking is available in Lot 41. The shuttles will halt from 9:15 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. for the fireworks show then resume again following the event.
