Celebrate July Fourth at the Bush Library and Museum
COLLEGE STATION, Texas, June 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum is proud to host the College Station Noon Lions Club's Fourth of July "I Love America" Celebration July 4, 2013 at the George Bush Presidential Library Center at Texas A&M University.
The College Station Noon Lions Club has organized the event for more than 50 years growing from humble beginnings to now one of the largest July Fourth Celebrations in the Brazos Valley.
"The College Station Noon Lions sponsor this community-wide event to encourage others to celebrate our nation's independence and be thankful for the opportunities we have, in a family friendly environment," said Richard D. Talbert, president of the College Station Noon Lions Club. "The Lions motto is 'We Serve!' and that is our goal - to serve those that are less fortunate than we are, to provide needed assistance, promote independence and help others."
The museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. with free admission for everyone all day; building closes at 8:30 p.m. Concessions and games for children begin at 5 p.m., and live music entertainment at 6 p.m., including The Docs and Clayton Gardner. The evening will culminate with a performance by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, presented by HEB and Wells Fargo. Listen live to the event and musical performances on KAMU-FM.
Free parking is available to the public at Reed Arena and the West Campus Parking Garage on the Texas A&M University campus. Shuttles will begin running at 4:30 p.m. from West Campus Garage and Lot 97 to the museum. Handicapped parking is available in Lot 41 and Lot 111.
