HORSESHOE BAY, Texas, June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with lakeside fun, land and boat parades, live music and Family Fun Day at the award-winning Horseshoe Bay Resort. Resort guests will enjoy daily activities as well as a special Family Fun Day on Saturday afternoon featuring a giant-sized rock wall, pitch burst, face painting, photo booth, lawn games and a chance to get up close and personal with our exotic birds.

The highlight of the resort's Fourth of July celebration will be the extravagant firework display over beautiful Lake LBJ. The fireworks begin at 9:30pm and will be simulcast live on KITY 102.9 FM for the public's enjoyment.

Guests can enjoy two waterfront concerts while watching the sun set over stunning Lake LBJ. A Tribute to George Strait, featuring Derek Spence, will perform on Friday, July 3, and Matchmaker Band on Saturday, July 4. Both concerts begin at 8pm and are complimentary for our overnight guests of the resort and club members.

Throughout the weekend, guests will stay busy with family-friendly activities including kids' shark boat rides, Lazy Day and Sunset cruises on Lake LBJ, Dive-In Movies, S'mores on the lawn and much more. Nightly buffets will be offered in Lantana as well as in the Yacht Club and will feature Prime Rib, Texas BBQ, Caribbean themes and more.
