Cedar Point Amusement Park Selects MICROS Simphony and MICROS OPERA

(NASDAQ: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that Cedar Point Amusement Park, the flagship park for Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, has implemented MICROS Simphony for the park's point of sale and MICROS OPERA as the property management system for the park's six lodging properties.  Over 400 MICROS Workstations are implemented throughout the number-one rated park's restaurant and concession areas, including the MICROS Keyboard Workstation 270 (KW270), a new point of sale client for Simphony, and the MICROS Workstation 5A (WS5A), operated on Cedar Point's wireless infrastructure.

The fully integrated solution installed at Cedar Point ties both the point of sale transactions in the amusement park to the guest's hotel account at the park's six properties: Hotel Breakers, Sandcastle Suites, Lighthouse Point, Camper Village, Breakers Express, and Castaway Bay.  A customized OPERA integration to Cedar Point's park ticketing system allows guests to charge their park ticket to their hotel room, significantly improving customer service and check-in times.  By leveraging the data available in Simphony's reporting module, Cedar Point was able to dramatically reduce its end of day processing time.
