Winning parks announced were:
#1 – Halloween Haunt at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio near Cincinnati;
#2 – Halloween Haunt at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia;
#5 – SCarowinds at Carowinds on the border of North and South Carolina in Charlotte; and
#9 – HalloWeekends at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.
The awards, published by the USA TODAY Travel Media Group, provides users with original, unbiased travel content on top attractions in the U.S. and around the world. Winners are selected by popular vote from nominees chosen by an expert panel. In all, Cedar Fair parks garnered 40 percent of the 10Best awards, more than any other amusement park operator.
