CEC Welcomes New Community Reentry Program At Long Beach, CA
WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Jan. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC) announced today the award of a new community corrections program at their Long Beach, California, facility. The Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP) awarded from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) will provide community reentry services for 112 males scheduled to begin on or around April 1, 2017.

The MCRP program will be held at CEC's residential reentry center, the Long Beach Community Re-Entry Center, to house and treat participants using an evidence-based, phased program model approach. The plan begins with comprehensive assessments for participants to best determine needs of individual offenders. Services provided will include individual and group counseling, substance use disorder counseling and education, services for Co-Occurring Disorders, literacy, employment readiness, vocational preparation, community survival skills, and housing assistance.
Participants will receive 25-40 hours per week of program related services and activities. Upon completion of the treatment program, individuals will progress into work release.
