"Since 1962, CCS has prepared designers for employment in the auto industry. Our program is one of the most preeminent in existence and we supply more designers to the automotive industry than any other art and design college in the world," says CCS President Richard L. Rogers. "Stars in the design world like Ralph Gilles from Chrysler, Joel Piaskowski from Ford, Kevin Hunter from Calty and Bob Boniface from GM have all benefited from a CCS education and we are pleased to educate the next generation of automotive designers."
Annually, through sponsored research projects with automotive and automotive supplier companies, CCS students develop designs that represent the future of automotive design and innovation. With an emphasis on market, lifestyle, age and social demographics, students are charged to develop designs that translate into various types of automobiles.
"The work that our students develop is really phenomenal. I am regularly impressed by the clarity and dedication with which our students approach these projects. I am especially excited about the designs that will be shown on the floor of the NAIAS this year," says CCS Chair of Transportation Design Mark West. "While NAIAS gives the international, national and local press access to the up to the minute trends in automotive design, CCS is proud to feature our students who represent the future of automotive design."
