CCS Partners with HandsOn Network to Encourage Volunteer Service
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., April 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- During National Volunteer Week, Cross-Cultural Solutions (CCS) officially announces its partnership with HandsOn Network (HON), continuing its dedication to mobilize more individuals in volunteer service, both internationally and domestically.
CCS is a recognized leader in the field of international volunteering that has supported over 25,000 people to volunteer abroad since 1995. HON is the volunteer-focused arm of Points of Light Institute and the largest volunteer network in the nation, mobilizing individuals through 250 Action Centers in 16 countries. Together, the two organizations reach hundreds of thousands of people a year who are interested in making a difference through service.

The theme of National Volunteer Week 2011 is "Celebrating People in Action," and it will be observed from April 10th to 16th. National Volunteer Week is an initiative of Points of Light Institute that has been recognized since 1974.
