CCS Medical Team Hires Industry Operator Rodney Carson as CEO

DALLAS, March 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CCS Medical ("CCS"), one of the nation's leading providers of home medical supplies for patients with chronic conditions, has named Rodney Carson as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 23.  Mr. Carson joins CCS from MDLIVE, the nation's second-largest telehealth company, where he was President of Operations.

Prior to MDLIVE, Mr. Carson was President and Executive Vice President of Operations at NationsHealth, (n/k/a Convey Health Solutions), a provider of business outsourcing solutions and durable medical equipment.  Mr. Carson previously worked at Liberty Medical where he served as President of the mail order pharmacy business, which he started and built into a significant competitor in the space.  He started his career as a CPA with Peat, Marwick & Mitchell, then worked in finance and investment banking prior to moving into operational leadership roles in the healthcare industry.  Mr. Carson earned his Master of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Science in Business and Accounting both from Indiana University.

Mr. Carson has significant expertise in growing businesses and driving operational results in companies facing challenges and opportunities similar to those at CCS.  Specifically, he brings a track record of running best-in-class call center, revenue cycle and distribution operations that focus on the patient and ultimately lead to satisfied customers.  His operational strength is complemented by strong financial underpinnings and a keen strategic growth orientation from his experience both as an investment banker and across multiple advanced patient care delivery models.
