CCMC Accepting Applications for Voluntary Service on its Board of Commissioners
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) is pleased to announce the opportunity for individuals interested in voluntary service as strategic decision makers for the first and largest case manager certification program in the United States.
As an organization with 30,000 individuals holding the CCM® credential, CCMC is dedicated to upholding rigorous standards for its certification program, and serves as the leading voice of case management practice. CCMC is committed to demonstrating improvement in consumer safety and quality in healthcare and human services through the role of certified case manager.
CCMC seeks nominations for new commissioners with passion and skills to contribute to these objectives while bringing a diversity of skills, backgrounds and expertise to the organization. The Commission seeks nominees who are willing to support CCMC's mission to promote the professional practice of case management through certification and related services.
"We're excited to add new commissioners to the board," CCMC Chair Jo Carter said. "These individuals will work in cooperation with the other commissioners to set the strategic direction for this dynamic organization, impact the practice of case management and promote the value of case management for consumers, who are the ultimate beneficiaries of case management."
Elected Commissioners will serve four-year terms beginning in June 2010. Expectations of service include participating in strategic discussion and decisions and contributing to the work of selected committees and task forces. Commissioners serve as stewards of the organization, so additional responsibilities for Commissioners are both fiduciary and promotional, including approving an annual budget, monitoring the overall financial operations of the commission, and positively and powerfully representing the commission by endorsing the CCM® certification.
Interested individuals can obtain an application by visiting www.ccmcertification.org. Candidates must submit their completed application by April 1, 2010. For questions or assistance, please contact Danielle Gentile at 856-642-4404 or by email at [email protected].
