CCG Investor Relations President to Speak at the 6th China Venture Capital & Private Equity Forum in New York
NEW YORK and SHANGHAI, April 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- CCG Investor Relations, a leading global investor relations and strategic communications agency, today announced that the agency's president, Crocker Coulson, will speak on a panel titled "Choice on Exit" at the China Venture Capital & Private Equity Forum at the Westin Times Square Hotel in New York City on May 4th.
The conference, hosted by Zero2IPO, a leading integrated service provider in the China venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) industry, will offer participants the opportunity to address industry-wide critical issues for China focused VC/PE funds seeking to benefit from the pipeline of Chinese companies preparing for overseas listing. CCG is honored to serve as a supporting organization of the event.
In the "Choice on Exit" panel Coulson and other industry experts in VC/PE investment, legal, accounting, investor relations and corporate fields will explore the pros and cons of various exit strategies available to Chinese companies, such as IPOs, mergers & acquisitions and alternatives including reverse mergers, a strategy that has undergone significant scrutiny in the U.S. over the past year.
"In recent quarters we have seen a strong appetite for Chinese technology IPOs in the U.S., while access to the domestic IPO market is improving for private companies with the ongoing market reform in China," said Coulson, "Both institutional and retail investors are highly interested in China growth stories, especially those that play to the themes of the growing middle class and domestic consumption."
According to CCG's Coulson, it is often in the interest of VC/PE backers to see their portfolio companies move to public status as swiftly as possible, while senior management needs to balance the opportunity to take advantage of market windows with sufficient preparation to ensure that they will be successful in the public markets.
"Whatever path a company chooses to go public, a strategic approach to investor communications will be critical to continually growing a company's shareholder base, achieving liquidity in the stock, and positioning them as industry leaders with global investors and the media," added Coulson.
Other scheduled panelists include: Robert H. McCooey, NASDAQ OMX Group's senior vice president; Yimin Zimmerer, Walden International's managing director; Lisa Lo, The CID Group's partner, Peter Hsieh, AsiaVest Partners' partner; David Yuan, Redpoint Ventures' head of China; and Drew Bernstein, Marcum Bernstein & Pinchuk's co-managing partner.
