Tough Mudder X Programming to Premiere on CBS Three Straight Weekends in July
World's Toughest Mudder Champions, Gold Medal Olympians, Regional CrossFit Games Athletes and American Ninja Warriors Among Competitors
BROOKLYN, N.Y., Jan. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CBS Sports and Tough Mudder, Inc., a leading sport, active lifestyle and media brand, have expanded their Tough Mudder X partnership to broadcast the competition on CBS three consecutive weekends this July.
Based on the success of the inaugural 2017 event, Tough Mudder has expanded to include two Tough Mudder X Opens with qualifying rounds and prizes for top three finishers, Sunday, March 25 in Sacramento, Calif. and Sunday, April 8 in Miami, Fla. in addition to the finale in Richmond, Va. on Friday, June 8. The three-part Tough Mudder X show debuts on Sat. July 14 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET) on CBS with the semi-final program on Sat, July 21 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET) and the finale on Sat., July 28 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET).
Deemed the toughest mile on the planet, Tough Mudder X, with presenting event sponsor KILL CLIFF, the leader in clean recovery and endurance drinks, combines all the leading elements in sports fitness ranging from obstacle course racing (OCR) to HIIT/functional fitness training to racing. With $50,000 on the line, one of the largest prize pools in the fitness sport and OCR industries, the competition pits top male and female athletes in the world across multiple disciplines against one another. The race tests strength, agility and speed over a one-mile course, replete with 10 obstacles and Workout Zones.

Athletes from various disciplines will compete in Tough Mudder X, including World's Toughest Mudder Champions (Ryan Atkins), Regional CrossFit Games athletes/Kill Cliff ambassadors (Jen and Sam Dancer), America Ninja Warriors (Jessie Graff) and more. Reigning champions Hunter McIntyre (12:26.20) and Corinna Coffin (14:56.40) will return to defend their respective titles.
