THE WOODLANDS, Texas, July 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CB&I (NYSE: CBI) today announced its supervisory board of directors has approved the appointment of Jeffrey J. Lyash as President of the Power business unit. Located in Charlotte, N.C., Mr. Lyash will oversee CB&I's comprehensive EPC projects execution and technical services offering to the fossil and nuclear industries. He will report to Lasse Petterson, CB&I's Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Engineering, Construction and Maintenance operating group.
Mr. Lyash's appointment reflects the importance of CB&I's strategic course to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve operational excellence that will drive growth in CB&I's Power business.
With more than 30 years' experience in the power industry and a career that spans both the private and public sectors, Mr. Lyash has worked for Pennsylvania Power & Light, Tennessee Valley Authority, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and most recently Duke Energy, where he served as Executive Vice President of Energy Supply.
Mr. Lyash holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University and graduated from Duke University's Advanced Management Program and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's Senior Leadership Development Program.
