CBI Events Announces Third Annual Asia Pacific Unconventional Gas (CBM) Summit 2010 Will Be Held in March
SHANGHAI, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- According to the draft of New Energy and Industrial Development Planning, China has selected 15 CBM mining areas and five CBM long-distance pipelines for future development. China's CBM industry expects to see fast development within the coming years and is expected to produce about 30 billion cubic meters by 2020. Not only China, but also other Asia Pacific countries with rich coal resources, like India, Australia, Indonesia and Russia, have recently been carrying out more and more activities such as exploring coal bed methane.
What is the status of CBM projects in the Asia Pacific Region? What are the barriers to the development of coal bed methane? What is the potential and problems of developing CBM as part of national energy? What is the best technology to exploit CBM? Is CBM's downstream market well developed? Industry practitioners urgently need to discuss these issues.
Based upon the great success of our past two annual CBM Summits, the Third Asia-Pacific Unconventional Gas (CBM) Summit 2010 will be held on March 29th - 30th, and will continue to provide a great platform for the gathering of CBM industry practitioners in the Asia Region. The Forum will analyze the CBM market in the region, introduce related plans and government policies, showcase the latest technology used for CBM, and brainstorm solutions for constraints on developing and commercializing CBM in China.
