Cavium's PureVu® to Power LG's New Wireless Display Adapter for the Latest Optimus G and Nexus 4 Smartphones

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cavium Inc., (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications and the digital home, today announced that LG's new DWD Series Wireless Display adapter uses Cavium's CNW6611L media SoC to enable state-of-the-art media sharing and wireless display capabilities.  This Cavium-based accessory is optimized to enhance the end-to-end Miracast functionality with LG's Optimus G phone, as well as the new Android 4.2 release used in the Nexus 4 smartphone. With support for 1080p media processing, HDCP 2.1 content protection, and optimized interactivity, LG's new Miracast display adapter is designed to enable users to view premium content or play their favorite games on the larger screen of a nearby high definition TV.
