Catholic Charities USA President Remembers in Prayer Those in Need This Christmas
Fr. Snyder Offers Prayers, Wishes for "Renewed Spirit of Service and Justice"
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Father Larry Snyder, President of Catholic Charities USA, offered his wishes for a blessed Christmas and joyous holiday season to all, especially those left alone or vulnerable during this season of hope and glad tidings:
"During this season of joy and hope, let us be thankful for all the blessings we have received and the love and support of family and friends near and far. Let us also remember those who have no one to celebrate with, and for whom the joy of the Christmas season is dulled by hunger, pain, and want.
"As our Holy Father has often reminded us, caring for those in need by feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless must be a constant priority for all people of good will. Especially in this time of year in which we celebrate the joy of Christ's birth, let us not forget to share that hope and peace with all seeking a better life.
"May the light of the Lord shine on us all during this blessed season and may our hearts be filled with peace and joy so that we may bring about a renewed spirit of service and justice in our land."
