Nancy Wisdo recognized for her work promoting human life and common good
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Catholic Charities USA's (CCUSA) President Rev. Larry Snyder along with Sr. Vice President of Social Policy & Government Relations Candy Hill presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Nancy Wisdo, the former Associate General Secretary of the United States Council of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) for her work promoting human life and common good.

In presenting the award, Hill said of Wisdo, "It is my distinct honor and privilege to bestow a small token of our deep regard for all she has done to promote human life and the common good." Wisdo served the US Bishops' Conference since 1985 before retiring this past December 2011. For the last five years of her career, she served as Associate General Secretary and has been a consistent voice on behalf of the Church in the public square.
