PEORIA, Ill., April 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) voted today to maintain the quarterly cash dividend of forty-four ($0.44) cents per share of common stock, payable May 20, 2011, to stockholders of record at the close of business, April 25, 2011.

The $0.44 dividend maintains the dividend rate from the previous quarter. For 17 years in a row, Caterpillar has paid higher dividends to its stockholders, and since 1998, the company's cash dividend has more than tripled.
