CastleBranch Teams with OOHLALA Inc. to Unveil Exclusive Mobile Student Engagement Platform for Healthcare Professionals
A Select Few College and University Programs Across the Nation Will Be Invited to Participate in an Unprecedented Pilot Program for Students of Healthcare Professions
WILMINGTON, N.C., July 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CastleBranch, parent company of CertifiedBackground, today announced that it has officially partnered with OOHLALA in the development of a new mobile Student Engagement Platform for those seeking a career in the healthcare professions.
The innovative new mobile platform will be offered free of charge to a number of select college and university programs via an exclusive pilot program beginning this summer.
During the pilot program, OOHLALA will develop a unique app for each participating school that will offer robust features such as real-time communication channels for community and peer engagement; program-specific virtual campus tour and GPS; a suite of interactive study tools to support academic success; club and organization event calendar; resources and important links (e.g., medical dictionary, drug guide); important dates and alerts; and online administrator access to app data, usage and analytics.
According to Brett Martin, CEO and Founder of CastleBranch, evolving to a mobile platform reduces complexity, provides personalized content and integrates the company's services into a single, coherent user experience with just-in-time information, any-time communication and full-time support.
"From our experience working with more than 11,000 college and university programs, we understand the importance of students engaging successfully with their program, school and campus life," said Martin. "This special pilot program starts the conversation—enabling us to deliver the technology that school administrators and their students so deeply desire."
CastleBranch's new edTech accelerator, tekMountain, played a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating and fast-tracking this product though the partnership development phase and into the pilot program launched today.
"We're putting our new mobile technology directly in the hands of students to help build their confidence and sense of belonging," said Danial Jameel, CEO and co-founder of OOHLALA. "The sleek design of the new platform puts content first to ensure students have access to all the critical resources at their fingertips—enabling them to enjoy a rewarding, exceptionally intuitive mobile experience."
According to Jameel, the new mobile platform provides a highly secure, Amazon cloud computing infrastructure, 508 compliance and support for a range of devices. Each custom app will be built and delivered to the participating school within a four-week timeframe.
