Castle Resorts & Hotels Announces Appointment of Director of eCommerce

HONOLULU, June 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Castle Resorts & Hotels is pleased to announce the following addition to its management team.

Steve Woods has been appointed Corporate Director of eCommerce.  In his new role, Mr. Woods will be responsible for further growing Castle's eCommerce business globally which has been identified as a key strategic priority for the Company over the next five years.  He will be responsible for managing Castle's web direct channel, and will oversee the strategic development and management of eCommerce initiatives for Castle Resorts & Hotels and its portfolio of 24 properties in the Hawaiian Islands, Saipan and New Zealand.

Mr. Woods has over 20 years' experience in the hospitality industry and specializes in interactive marketing.  For the past seven months Mr. Woods has served as Director of Marketing for The Spencer on Byron Hotel, a Castle hotel in Auckland, New Zealand, and Castle's Oceania headquarters.  Prior to joining The Spencer on Byron Hotel, Mr. Woods served as Director of Marketing for Eaton Hotel Hong Kong, Director of Marketing for Millennium Hotels & Resorts New Zealand, Director of Sales & Marketing for Sudima Hotels & Resorts, and Marketing Manager for The Gleneagles Hotel, Scotland, where he was the recipient of several eBusiness awards.
