Castle Connolly Recognizes Eight RMA of New York Physicians as 2018 "Top Doctors"

NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York (RMA of New York), a Manhattan-based fertility practice globally renowned as a leader in reproductive care and for achieving exceptional birth rates through assisted reproductive technologies, has once again had several of its physicians recognized as the, "Top Doctors," in the region. This is the 17^th year in a row that RMA of New York physicians have been named on the list. Castle Connolly's "Top Doctors" list is based upon an annual peer-review survey that identified the top ten percent of the region's physicians. Their annual database comprises approximately 6,000 physicians, and from that list a smaller group of 1,300 physicians is provided to New York Magazine for its annual publication.

In addition to serving as co-director of RMA of New York, Dr. Alan Copperman is Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, as well as the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at Mount Sinai Hospital. Additionally, he serves as Chief Medical Officer of Sema4 Genomics and Medical Director of Progyny. He is a frequent presenter at national and international meetings focusing on patient care and technology in assisted reproductive technologies, including in vitro fertilization, egg freezing, and ovum donation, and has published many award-winning papers and textbook chapters on fertility preservation and infertility treatment. 

Dr. Benjamin Sandler is a co-director of Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, in addition to serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  Dr. Sandler is well-recognized for his role in creating and popularizing many current in vitro fertilization protocols, and has lectured at national and international meetings.

Dr. Tanmoy Mukherjee is the Associate Director of the Mount Sinai Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and co-director of Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York. Dr. Mukherjee is the recipient of the prestigious Society of Reproductive Surgeons Award for his extensive research in ovum donation and medical therapy for the treatment of infertility and has authored number journal articles and textbook chapters.

Dr. Daniel Stein is the director of RMA of New York's Westside office and is Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Stein is well respected as a physician, lecturer, and as an educator.  He has authored articles on topics ranging from the fertility evaluation to metrics related to successful in vitro fertilization techniques.

Dr. Eric Flisser is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility and in Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI). His professional interests include reproductive surgery, in vitro fertilization and oocyte donation.

Dr. Lawrence Grunfeld is a co-director of Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, as well as a Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is well recognized for his skill in reproductive surgery and for treatment of patients with infertility, and for his high success rates in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) including in vitro fertilization, ovum donation, and intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
