Casimir Capital L.P. Hires Chief Geologist Eric Allison; Leading Boutique Investment Bank Continues its Expansion

NEW YORK, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Casimir Capital L.P., an investment bank and North American specialist in commodities and mining, officially announced today the hiring of Eric Allison as managing director and chief geologist.
Mr. Allison will relocate to Casimir Capital's New York City office where he will assist the firm's various divisions including its investment banking group and its research team, which is led by 35-year industry veteran R. Wayne Atwell, and has regularly produced sector wide analysis reports, as well as coverage of individual companies in the commodities and mining sectors.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Allison was president of Casimir Resource Advisors, LLC, an affiliate of Casimir Capital L.P. In that position, he provided technical advisory and evaluation services for a number of Casimir Capital's clients including mine site and project visits to Panama, Chile, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Canada, Spain, Mexico and Albania.

Mr. Allison's work in the natural resources industry includes technical evaluation, M&A and business development experience in metals, mining and oil & gas. Prior to joining Casimir, he was a director and vice president at Sempra Commodities from 1999-2009, where he was responsible for the business development activities at Sempra Metals & Concentrates and Sempra Energy Trading.
From 1994-1999, Mr. Allison served as a consultant to various companies and law firms including Cyprus Amax Minerals, Phelps Dodge and Schlumberger. He was the director of Business Development for Amax Energy from 1991-1994 and served as the head of Planning and Analysis at Amax Oil & Gas from 1988-1991.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Brown University in 1978 and a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Georgia in 1980.
